Light in the Blue produces professional underwater imagery for people who love and care for the underwater world. Through imagery I want to share my passion for the underwater world while making it accessible and memorable. By capturing the beauty of marine life and the adventures of its human visitors, I want to bring this diverse and breathtaking world closer to people and inspire them to learn more about our oceans because I strongly believe that we only protect what we know, love and care for.

As I see different advantages in photography and videography to portray the underwater world and its inhabitants I use both techniques. I use video to capture behaviour and movement of animals and the sea and I  use photos to portray details in texture and colour. I love to observe underwater geological formations and landscapes and how light gets lost and hidden within them, creating a symphony of light and blue. What both techniques have in commen is that they tell a story. As a filmmaker by training, I know the impact that imagery and storytelling has on people’s collective imagination and perception.
